| Satwari police solves theft case | | | Jammu | May 8 Satwari police today arrested two persons for cheating. According to reports, one Preetam Singh son of Ranjeet Singh resident of H. No. 93, Digiana Ashram Jammu lodged a written report with P/S Satwari that he had loaded 655 boxes of Fruty (mango) through Etic food product pvt. Ltd. opposite Army school Kalu Chak for Srinagar. After loading his truck bearing, Regd. No. 5855/JKO2E he parked the said truck at Ajit Nagar. During the intervening night of 4/5-5-2007 some unknown persons stole the said truck along with Fruty. The total value of stolen property is Rs. 4, 00,000. After booking the complaint, SP city, South Zahid Manhas, constituted a team headed by SHO P/S Satwari under the supervision of SDPO Gandhi Nagar Shiv Kumar Singh Chouhan to investigating the matter. During the course of investigation, it transpired that Driver Preetam Singh S/o Ranjeet Singh R/o 93, Digiana Ashram and owner of Truck namely Amarjeet Singh S/o Balwant Singh R/o Ekta Vihar Kunjwani hatched a conspiracy with one Ashok Kumar S/o Bishan Lal R/o Sidco Chowk Bari-Brhamana and took the loaded Truck in his Godown and unloaded 655 boxes fruty in the said truck. Both the driver and owner received Rs. 58,000/- and therefore took the said truck to Lakhanpur and came back to P/S Satwari for lodging FIR regarding theft of truck. The case under FIR No. 74/07 u/s 379/RPC stands registered at P/S Satwari. During the course of investigation police P/S Satwari recovered stolen property worth Rs. 4, 00,000 and the truck.
