| CPI threatens to boycott All party meet | | | Jammu, May 09 Communist Party of India in a letter to Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad has threatened to stay away from all party meeting scheduled for May 12 for sending direct invitations to its members instead of routing it through the party's Polite Bureau. Referring to the invitation send to CPI for participating in the upcoming all party meeting convened by CM to discuss issues pertaining to delimitation and demilitarization, its secretary and member national council Kanwal Baig in his letter has said that such practice tantamount to interference in the party affairs. "Party has its own state Polit Bureau, to decide about the persons to be sent for representing the party in such meetings", Kanwal is reported to have written in his written to CM while objecting to the practice of sending direct invitations. "We have on past many occasions also requested the chief secretary that such invitations should be addressed to Party Office but no heed was paid to the repeated pleas, Kanwal has complained, while terming such practice as 'interference in our Party working'. The CPI secretary has also threatened to boycott such meetings if government would not refrain from such practice
