| Strike of non teaching staff enters 37th Day | | |

Non teaching employees under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir Colleges Non Teaching Employees continued their protest alleging that the government has totally failed to concede to their genuine demands.
The employees protested against the non implementation of the written agreement with regard to university central pay scales to remove the anomalies of non teaching staff. The employees demanded immediate issue of new SRO regarding departmental norms of various cadres, formation of completed seven years of service and DPC/ promotions orders of various cadres.
Ram Kumar Sharma, state chairman while addressing the gathering at GGM Science College said that the administration is working on the policy of divide and rule on regular basis and are increasing miseries of the striking employees. He warned the government to immediately address the genuine demands of the employees otherwise the employees will intensify the agitation.
Others who spoke on this occasion were Parlahad Singh Chib, Sham Lal, Sanjeev Koul, Chuni Lal and Rashpal Singh Jamwal.
