| KAS officer sacked | | |
Srinagar, May 10
State government today terminated the services of former Deputy Director, Employment Doda Chaman Lal Khosa, KAS for remaining on unauthorized leave.
The termination order was issued by General Administrative Department in pursuance of the cabinet decision No.l7519 dated 13.08.2006.
Sources said that GAD issued an order - Government Order No 547 GAD of 2007- here today, whereby Chaman Lal Khosa son of SN Khosa at present resident of 629-A Gandhi Nagar, Jammu was terminated with effect from 2000.
Khosa who is from Jammu and Kashmir Industries and Commerce (G) Services cadre was given the Time scale of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (KAS) in 1997.
It was reliably learnt that during his posting as Deputy Director, Employment, Doda, the official proceeded on thirty days earned leave and sought extension of the same. Following this Khosa allegedly went on unauthorized leave and never resumed back his duties.
When the government issued a show cause notice, the official reportedly pleaded that his case may be taken up for pre-mature retirement. However, this plea was turned down by the GAD, which issued the termination order, here today. (NAK)
