KATHUA, Oct 1:Student elections were held in Government Degree College (GDC) Kathua today to elect Chief Class Representative (CCR) and Presidium consisting of General Secretary, Vice Chief CR (Male and Female), Secretary (Male and Female), Organizing/Publicity Secretary and Treasurer in a democratic manner.
Mayank Bhagotra of B.Com Part - III was elected as Chief CR by securing 32 votes against 29 votes secured by Ankush Mehta of B.Sc. Part - III in a very keenly fought contest.
Sunil Choudhary of B.A. Part - III, Arun Chib of B.A. Part - III, Megha Thahur of B.A. part- III, Akash of B Sc. Part - III, Jaspreet Kour of B. Com Part - III, Malinder Singh of B.A. Part - II and Nishant Bhushan of BBA Part - III were elected as General Secretary, Vice Chief CR (Male), Vice Chief CR (Female), Secretary (Male), Secretary (Female), Organizing/Publicity secretary and Treasurer respectively.
Later, Principal Dr B.L. Gupta while congratulating the Chief CR Mayank Bhagotra and his team assured them of all possible support in making this institute to achieve excellence in academics and other fields like sports, cultural, curricular and extra-curricular activities. |
