| Lok Adalat awards Rs.1.36 lakh to claimants | | |
UDHAMPUR, MAY 10
Lok Adalat at Udhampur awarded Rs.159500 to motor accidental claimants including realization of compounding fee against challan and labour cases held under the chairmanship of Principal District and Sessions Judge (Chairman, District Legal Services Authority), Udhampur, Mr. A.K. Shan yesterday.
Two benches were constituted for speedy disposal of listed cases in the Lok Adalat. Out of the seven Motor Accidental cases listed before the first bench headed by Principal District and Sessions Judge assisted by Chief Judicial Magistrate, Udhampur, Mr. R.K. Wattal, four cases were disposed off with an award of Rs.1.36 lacs to claimants as compensation and the second bench headed by the District Mobile Magistrate, Udhampur, Mr. Ajay Gupta, 48 challan cases and labour cases were disposed of with realization of compounding fee of Rs.23500 on the spot.
Oriental Insurance Company participated the Lok Adalat.
Next Lok Adalat will be held on June 8, 2007.
