| JKNPP’s hunger strike enters 2nd day | | Alleges administrative failure in distribution of flood relief | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Oct 3:Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP)'s three day long hunger strike against state government and district administration for their utter failure to distribute relief among flood victims in Udhampur district and entire Jammu province entered second day here today. State president JKNPP and MLA Udhampur Balwant Singh Mankotia alongwith party workers sat on a dharna in protest. Speaking on the occasion, Mankotia said that state government and district administration has failed to provide relief to rain and flood affected people especially hilly and far flung areas. He said that coalition government has failed to provide relief to flood affected people of Jammu province. People who have lost everything in flood devastation, is still deprived of relief and other basic needs. He asked the concerned departments particularly officers handling relief material and other help, immediate compensation should be release in favour of flood affected people. Mankotia warned the coalition govt that no one from govt should be allowed to play with the sentiments of flood affected people of Jammu Province. |
