Kathua, Oct 3: To mark the celebrations of Foundation Day the volunteers of 'Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh' (RSS) organized the traditional Shastar (Weapon) Poojan, followed by 'Path Sanchalan' (full dress route march). Several volunteers including elders' carryout route march at Kathua to mark the celebration of this special day. Vibhag Sangh Chaalak Mukesh Ji chaired the function whereas Prant Sangh Chaalak Brigadier Suchet Singh grace the occasion as chief guest. After performing the rites of Shastar Poojan at Government Middle School Ward Number 12, RSS volunteers carried route march. The march started from school premise, passing via New Bridge, Mukherjee Chowk, College Road, Shaheedi Chowk, Ambedkar Bridge, Old bus stand culminated at school itself. Speaking on the occasion Brigadier Suchet Singh said that the founder chief of RSS Dr Hedgevar had laid the foundation of Sangh on the Dusshera at Nagpur in 1925 to unite Hindus all over globe. He said Sangh since then has performed a vital role in strengthening unity and integrity of the nation, promoting unity and fighting casteism. The mission of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh describes as the revitalization of Indian value system based on universalism and peace and prosperity to all. The worldview that the whole world is one family, propounded by the ancient thinkers of India, considers as the ultimate mission of the organization. |
