JAMMU, Oct 3: On the auspicious occasion of Ram Navmi, langer was organized near Krishna Building by New Plot Market Association, in which fruits, halwa and other eatable items had been prepared and put on stalls.
BJP State spokesperson Balbir Ram Rattan, alongwith Market Association President Ankush Sharma, General Secretary Dharam Vir Singh, Vice-President Dalip Pandoh and others, distributed the langer items among the general public.
Balbir Ram Rattan, while extending greetings to the people for Ram Navmi and Dussehra, said that these festivals not only teach us tolerance and fight against evils but also bring the society more closer.
He said that these festivals also provide us an opportunity to come together to arrange some kind of commodities for the people as a mark of our respect towards our festivals religion and society. Ankush Sharma said that the members of the Market Association have worked in unison to organize this langer.
He said that prior to langer, havan was organized for the well being of the society. |
