| Jawan killed in accidental firing | | |
JAMMU: An Army jawan was killed in accidental firing of a mortar shell during firing practice in Jammu on Friday, official sources said.
Sepoy Vinod Kumar Yadav was practicing mortar firing when one of the shells exploded resulting in death of Yadav in the firing range in Falai Mandal area of Jammu district on Friday, they said.
He died on the spot, they said adding a court of inquiry has been ordered into the incident.
On Thursday also, one jawan was killed and another injured in accidental fire during firing practice in Kathua district, they said.
