| RSS takes out 'Path-Sanchalan' in Udhampur | | | | UDHAMPUR, Oct 3: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) workers on Sunday took out their traditional 'path-sanchalan' (march) here in the presence of organisation's province Pracharak Ramesh Pappa in connection with its 89th Foundation Day today. On the occasion, traditional Shastra Poojan was performed and path Sanchalan (full dress route march) was taken out by RSS activists at Udhampur to mark the celebration of the day. Swayamsevaks in black side caps, white shirts and khaki shorts marched through the city. The path 'sanchalans' taken out from mini stadium passed through Gole Market Mukherjee Bazaar, Court Road, Sallian Talab and Main Bazaar areas of city . The 'sanchalans' were welcomed by the residents with gates erected in their honour. Speaking on the occasion, Prant pracharak Ramesh Pappa said that the founder chief of RSS Dr Hedgevar had laid the foundation of Sangh on the Dussehra at Nagpur in 1925 to unite Hindus all over globe. He said Sangh since then has performed a vital role in strengthening unity and integrity of the nation, promoting brotherhood and also fighting casteism. Stressing on strengthening Shakhas (RSS drill) he said the Swayamsevaks have more responsibility on their shoulders at present as country is facing more challenges today than it was facing during pre -independence or post independence days. |
