JAMMU, Oct 3: Dhananjay of Chhatisgarh emerged sole leader securing all six points at the end of round six in the ongoing J&K Police prize money FIDE Rating Chess Tournament, organised by All J&K Chess Association at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here today. The encouraging part of the event was a record participation of 84 players from host J&K. "Such a big participation in a national ranking tournament is an indicator of growing popularity of the game of chess in J&K state," vice-president of the Association Baldev Raj said soon after inaugurating today's competition. Meanwhile, president of the Association, Atul Gupta informed that the Rs three lakh cash prize competition shall conclude tomorrow with the holding of valedictory function at 4 pm at the same venue.
