JAMMU, Oct 4: The combined side of Post Graduate (PG) Departments shall take on GGM Science College in the women's inter-college badminton final scheduled to be held on October 8 on the University of Jammu (JU) campus, here.
Earlier, in the semifinals, played today, PG Departments defeated GCW Gandhi Nagar 2-0. The Results: Prabhjot Kour bt Suvidha Khajuria 21-12, 21-10. Doubles: Prabhot Kour and Akanksha Raina bt Suvidha and Pritibha 21-05, 21-10.
In the second semifinal, GGM Science College trounced Government Degree College (GDC) Billawar 2-0. The Results: Diksha bt Pooja Sharma 21-10, 21-14. Doubles: Diksha and Sunali bt Aysla and Monika 21-03, 21-07.
Meanwhile, in men's section, GDC Kathua shall be playing against Government MAM College in the title clash.
In the semifinals, GDC Kathua outplayed GDC Samba 3-0. The Results: Abhishek Gupta bt Rajinder Kumar 21-12, 21-08; Rohit Verma bt Jitesh Kumar 21-12, 19-21, 21-09. Doubles: Abhishek and Rohit bt Rajinder and Jitesh 21-15, 21-08.
The second semifinal won by MAM College defeating The Law School 3-1. The Results:
Singles: Arjun lost to Chander Dev 21-15, 17-21, 19-21; Irfan Hussain bt Anurag 21-15, 11-21, 21-16. Doubles: Arjun and Irfan bt Chander Dev and Anurag 21-11, 21-16. Reverse singles: Nikhil gets walkover from Yash Vardhan Singh.
