| Felicitation function organized at BGSB University | | |
RAJOURI, MAY 11
To felicitate the outstanding students and honour Vice Chancellor Mr. Masood Chowdhary, DIG, Rajouri-Poonch Range, Mr. M. A. Anjum and officers of his range organized an impressive “felicitation ceremony” at Dak Bungalow Rajouri yesterday in which 12 students have been felicitated. Vice Chancellor, BGSB University was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
District Development Commissioner, Mr. Rafiq Ahmed Sheikh, DIG, Rajouri-Poonch range Mr. M.A. Anjum, SSP Mr. Farooq Khan senior district officers and prominent citizen were present at the impressive function.
As many as 13 outstanding students of the University have been placed both in multinational and national companies like DELL, NIT SMART SERVIES, EXL SERVICES IBM AIRTEL, HUTCH, SPICE, HDFC and ICICI with handsome package.
Expressing satisfaction over the achievements of the University, Mr. Chowdhary laid stress on achieving excellence in all walks of life particularly in the field of education which undoubtedly is the basis of a successful life. He also complimented the Range Police for taking this initiative which would boost the morale of student’s fraternity of this region.
Mr. Anjum said that targets of the University have been achieved and translated into reality only due to the tireless and dedicated efforts of its visionary Vice Chancellor Mr. Masud Chowdhary. He further said that Mr. Chowdhary bequeathed his personal comforts to ensure a bright tomorrow for the next generation of this backward region.
Deputy Commissioner and SSP, Rajouri also spoke.
Earlier, Dean and Head of Department of Business Management highlighted the academic achievements of his department, while Registrar of the University gave a detailed account of various achievements of the University.
