| Awareness prog organized for fishermen | | |
SAMBA. MAY 11
An awareness programme of license holder fishermen of the newly created district Samba was organized here today. During the programme, all the registered fishermen were briefed about Fisheries Act of the department.
Detailed discussions were held during the programme regarding fisheries. The fishermen were also advised to play an important role in the conservation of the fisheries of various water bodies. Moreover, they were warned to abstain from illegal fishing such as poisoning of the water bodies and dynamiting etc.
