| State level cricket championship beings at Doda | | |

The 3rd Gurfan Memorial State Level Cricket Tournament organized by Young Star Cricket Club began here today. MLA Doda Abdul Majid Wani and District Development Commissioner Shaurabh Bhagat inaugurated it.
The first inaugural match was played between Baba Saheg Nath Cricket Club Jammu (BSNCC) & Faridia Cricket Club Doda (FCC). FCC won the toss and elected to bat. In the stipulated 20 over match, FCC scored 178 for the loss of 9 wickets. Waseem and Nasir made 24 and 21 runs respectively. From BSNCC, Vishu took three wickets, while Avinash and Arjun took 2 and 1 wickets respectively.
While chasing the target of 178 runs, BSNCC made the required runs in just 18 overs loosing only seven wickets .Vishu played a superb knock of 57 runs from 26 balls with the help of 11 fours while .Chandeep made 46 of 16 balls including 4 fours and 4 sixes to the fence. From FCC Ashok, Asif shared two wickets each while Akram took one wicket. Master Om Parkash, Shahnawaz Mattoo and Ishtiaq Ahmed Dev were the official commentator while Raja Waseem Butt was the scorer in the match.
