| Symposium on "Role of youth in nation building" organized | | | EARLY TIMES REPORTER
KATHUA, AUGUST 7
A symposium on the topic "Role of youth in nation
building" was organized by District Information Centre Kathua at Government High School, Panayalag,
a remotest and far flung area in tehsil Bani of Kathua district. Headmaster of the school presided.
As many as 8 students of the school took part in the symposium and read out their writings.
Miss Kiran Jyoti of 10th class bagged first position while Miss Kamlesh Kumari of 10th class secured
2nd position and Mr. Bharat Bhushan of the same class was declared third.
The Information Department gave away prizes to the first three position holders while
consolation prizes were also given to all the participants.
Speaking on the occasion, the Headmaster appreciated the efforts of District Information
Centre, Kathua in organizing the symposium to this far flung and remote area. He hoped that such
functions shall be organized in near future also.
