| BS Salathia elected President BAJ | | |
JAMMU, MAY 12
BS Salathia, Additional Advocate General, was today elected President of Jammu Bar Association with a majority vote.
According to the Presiding Officer, VR Wazir, out of 843 total votes 782 votes were polled, of these Salathia secured 492 whereas Advocate BL Kalgotra secured 288 votes. For the post of Vice President, Advocate CM Sharma secured 411 votes whereas Advocate MU Salaria secured 30 votes.
Advocate Pawan Maini was declared elected as Secretary with 437 votes whereas Advocate Vikram Sharma got 342 votes. For Joint secretary, Mandeep Singh Jamwal was declared elected. He polled 393 votes whereas Vijay Vaid got only 211 and Adv Aleem secured 159 votes.
Advocate Amrish Singh Salathia was elected unopposed for the post of Casshier.
