REASI, MAY 12 To assess the pace of development and to review the achievements made in various sectors by different departments in Reasi district during the last financial year, a meeting of all district level officers was convened here yesterday. Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Mr. Jugal Kishore Sharma chaired the meeting while District Development Commissioner Reasi, Mr. Sanjeev Verma, SSP, Mr. J. L. Sharma, Superintending Engineer Mr. Shadi Lal Bhat, President Municipal Committee Reasi, district level officers from Udhampur and Reasi district were present in the meeting. During the meeting, the Minister said that ceiling to the tune of Rs. 2330.80 lakh has been received for Reasi district for the current financial year and the salaries component is Rs. 597.69 lakh. The ceiling received include Rs. 1.53 lakh for agriculture, Rs. 5.80 lakh for horticulture, Rs. 8 lakh for soil conservation, Rs. 3.90 lakh for animal husbandry Rs. 7.50 lakh for sheep husbandry, Rs. 6.50 lakh for fisheries, Rs. 15 lakh for forest, Rs. 8 lakh for social forestry, Rs. 142.82 lakh for minor irrigation, Rs. 2 lakh for IRDP, Rs. 20 lakh for SGRY/IAY/RHS, Rs. 98.40 lakh for DPAP, Rs. 12.02 lakh for rural sanitation, Rs. 1.50 lakh for handicraft, Rs. 1.30 lakh for handloom, Rs. 3 lakh for DIC, Rs. 4.75 lakh for sericulture, Rs. 710 lakh for R&B, Rs. 20 lakh for power, Rs. 174.72 lakh for education, Rs. 12 lakh for youth services and sports, Rs. 273,70 lakh for health, Rs. 135 lakh for PHE, Rs. 11.78 lakh for urban development, Rs. 0.18 lakh for social welfare, Rs. 0.09 lakh for SC/OBC, Rs. 37.51 lakh for nutrition, Rs. 13 lakh for self employment, Rs. 100 lakh for infrastructure development and Rs. 5 crore for the establishment of new district. The Minister asked the officers to consult the concerned MLAs before starting the development works in their areas. To speed up the tempo of development works and to redress the grievances of general public, all district level officers from Udhampur would remain at Reasi on every Friday and Saturday and these two days would be as camp office days at Reasi. He stressed upon the officers to maintain punctuality and serve the people with dedication, sincerity and transparency.
