| SCC wins Shere-e-Kashmir Cricket Tourney | | |
JAMMU | May 13 Shanshaw Cricket Club, Ustad Mohalla (SCC) won the Shere-e-Kashmir Memorial Cricket Tournament being played at Nagrota Park, near Jumbo Lochan Committtee Hall here today. The final match was played between Shanshaw Cricket Club (SCC) and Zeeshan Cricket Club (ZCC). The Skipper of Shanshaw Cricket Club won the toss and decided to bat first. While batting, they scored 299 runs in allotted 20 overs. While chasing the target of 300 runs, Zeeshan Cricket Club was bowled out at 238 runs and lost the match by 61 runs. Irshad was declared as the man of the match whereas Sohail Raja of Zeeshan Cricket Club was declared as the man of the series. 12 teams were participated in the tournament. Ajay Sadhotra, Provincial President National Conference was the chief guest on the occasion. He distributed the prizes among the winners and congratulated the players who performed excellently in the tournament. Others prominent who were present in the match include Chander Mohan Sharma, Mustaq Ahmed Bukhari, T.S. Wazir, Vimla Luthra and Sham Mehra.
