| JKNTUF to support EJAC’s tool down strike | | | Jammu | May 11 Executives and office bearers of Jammu and Kashmir National Trade Union Front (JKNTUF) informed about their decision of extending their moral support to the two day long tool down strike called by the employees under the banner of Govt. Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC). Addressing a joint press conference of senior leaders of JKNTUF and Govt. Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC), the Mohammed Gafoor Dar state president J&K NTUF informing this reiterated the demands of the protesting employees and appealed to the government to concede to the genuine demands of the employees. Speaking on the occasion Ram Kumar Sharma (EJAC) and Gaffor Dar highlighting the demands of the employees said that government should take a decision regarding the agreement as agreed in the last meeting and urged chief minister to implement the commitment, which have been agreed with the EJAC leadership in the last meeting. Speakers namely Balwan Singh Jamwal, Arun Moza, Davinder Singh, Ghulam Mohd Malik and Jaswant Singh in their address also mentioned that even the Minister for Finance too has agreed with the leadership of the employees. They demanded early release of the D.A installments from Jan 2007 in favour of State Govt. Employees at the earliest including other demands. Other demands highlighted at this occasion included, Change of designation of helper as per the nature of job, regularization of daily wagers, enhancement of wages to anganwari workers and 2 ½ days pay to employees. Other senior dignitaries of the organization who attended the meeting were Babu Hussain Malik, Moulvi Maneer Hussain, Rajesh Kumar Om Prakash Sharma, Bharat Bhushan Bhatti, Shamus Din Wani, Krishan Singh and Shamsher Singh.
