PDF is committed for restoration of peace, Yaseen

Chairman PDF and Minister for Transport, Hakim Muhammad Yaseen, has said that his party (PDF) is committed for restoration of peace in the state and help to usher the state towards development and prosperity.
Addressing a mammoth rally at Rawalpora in Beerwah today Yaseen said that he would continue to persuade the twin agenda of the coalition government for peace and development in the State. He said that people of the State have suffered during last 18 years of turmoil, which has caused irreparable damage to State’s economy. ‘Time has come now to strengthen the pillars of democracy and strive for peace and progress, he said, adding that Indo-Pak friendship is must for peace, development and prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir State.
The PDF Chairman said that it is duty of all peace loving people and political parties to strengthen the hands of present Government in making the dream true. He said the leaders of India and Pakistan must realize the ground situation and think further strengthening of CBM.
Hakim Yaseen called upon the youth to come forward in a big way and get associated with development efforts to make J&K a prosperous state. He said the youth can contribute towards political and economic development of the State in the emerging scenario and urged the youth to participate in State’s democratic process.
Reiterating Government’s resolve for fulfilling the commitments made under Common Minimum Program, Yaseen said that speedy and equitable development of all the regions of the State is on top agenda of the Government adding that Chief Minister Azad is keen to develop the state speedily. He said government is fully aware about the unemployment problem being faced by the educated youth saying that efforts are on to provide job opportunities to the educated youth in the state He said various projects and welfare schemes launched in the state during recent years are now yielding results and hoped that the fruits of prosperity will reach to even the remotest areas of the State.
Referring to the development scenario of Budgam district, the Transport Minister said that during the coalition rule massive development programs have been initiated in the district under which road connectivity, drinking water and power supply, health and education sectors were accorded priority. He assured that development scenario would be changed so that the fruits of development and prosperity would reach to the downtrodden areas of the district.
The Minister said that the genuine demands of the locals would be meted out on priority and maintained that the government is actively considering to set- up more community blocks in the district. He said a playing field would be set up in village Khosapora adding that all development priorities are fixed in the District Development Board Meetings. He said that Watrihail-Arizal and Jawalpora-Yarikhah roads would be macadamized during this year.
