Jammu, May, 13 To assess the problems of inhabitants of this remote area of the state, Minister of State for Health and Power Development, Peer Hussain, along with the functionaries of concerned departments conducted a tour of Paddar tehsil of Kishtwar district the other day. He also convened series of meetings with the locals at Banderna, Dool, Padyarna, Pathernaki, Kijaee, Atohli, where the public put forth a number of demands and sought an immediate redressal. The demands included, up gradation of Middle school, land compensation from NHPC at Dool, opening of medical sub-centres, power connectivity in leftover hamlets, posting of para-medicos in rural areas, posting of teaching staff at GHSS, Paddar, commissioning of power receiving station at Gulabgarh and posting of doctors at the local hospital. Responding to these demands, the Minister directed the authorities to ensure immediate supply of medicines and other accessories to various medical centres, besides early completion of receiving station. He also ensured to take up the matter of posting of teaching staff at the GHSS, with the education authorities. He also addressed a public meeting at Gulabgarh and enumerated the achievements of the coalition governments.
