Ed student among 3 killed, 18 others wounded in road mishaps | | | Srinagar, May 13 Three persons, including a female BEd student from Rajasthan, died and 18 others were injured in various road accidents across the Kashmir Valley, since last 24 hours. A rashly driver Gypsy - JK05-7152 hit and injured a girl student, Durga daughter of Saini of Rajasthan, near Kanispora, Baramulla under the jurisdiction of Police Station Baramulla, this morning. A student of B. Ed JET College Kanispora Baramulla, the injured was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital from where she was referred to SKIMS, Srinagar. However, she succumbed to her injuries in the hospital, an official spokesman said. The spokesman added that a woman was injured when she was hit by a Truck (JK03-4431) at Jawbrara, Awantipora. Identified as Rehti wife of Ghulam Mohammad Gadhanji of Awantipora, the victim later died in the hospital. A seven year old boy was crushed to death by an over speedy Tipper near Humhama, this afternoon. The boy, identified as Sajad Ahmad Ganie son of Ghulam Nabi of Humhama was rushed to the hospital, where he was declared as brought dead. Police said that a pedestrian Mubarak Ahmad Malik son of Mohammad Akbar of Arwani was hit and injured by a motorcycle at Bijbehara. The accused motorcyclist Feroz Ahmad Rather resident of Chattergull and his pillion rider Sameer Ahmad Bhat resident of Chatergam were also injured in the accident. Meanwhile, reports said that fifteen employees of health department were injured when a hospital vehicle in which they were traveling, skidded off the road, this morning. It was learnt that staff members of Public Health Center Mahrajgunj, Srinagar were going to picnic to Dodhu Pathri when it met with the accident. However, condition of all the fifteen injured were said to be out of danger.
