| LeT militant gunned down | | |

An unidentified militant of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) outfit was gunned down by a Police party during a search operation in Doda this morning. An AK rifle, magazine, pouch and some other incriminating material were recovered from the possession of the slain militant.
According to reports, Police on a tip off regarding presence of militants in the house of one Mussa Malik of Dehrote under the jurisdiction of Police Station Doda cordoned off the suspected house and started searching for him. The militants hiding in the house fired upon the party which retaliated effectively and in the ensuing encounter one militant of LeT outfit was killed.
The identification of the slain militant could not been ascertained so far. Meanwhile, an AK rifle, magazine, 20 rounds, one pouch and some other incriminating material were also recovered from the possession of the slain militant.
