| Diploma engineers hold joint meeting | | |

A meeting of Joint Action Committee of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh (HP) Chandigarh (UT) and Jammu and Kashmir was held at Kissan Bhawan, Chandigarh, under the chairmanship of DC Bhardwaj, President All India Federation of Diploma Engineers.
In the meeting representatives of various state organizations took part and “ The Council of Diploma Engineers North Zone was formed. Election were held unanimously under the supervision of Er. Daljit Singh Kohli to elect the Executive body of the Coucil. Er. Pargat Singh Grewal (Retd.) was nominated, Chief Advisor and Er. Yashpal Dholl (Haryana) President, Er. D.R. Kasyup (HP) General Secy. Er. Jagjit Singh Jagi (J&K)Sr Vice President, Er. Surinder Singh Sodhi (Public Health Punjab) Organizing Secy., Er. Bhupinder Singh Somal (B&R Punjab) Press Secy., Er. Balwinder Singh (Irrigation Punjab), Er. Surjit Singh Rajput (PSTC Punjab), Er. S.K. Katna (HP) Joint Secretaries were elected.
In the meeting the matter of holding of SAARC Diploma Engineer’s and Sixth Pay commission were discussed at length by the representatives.
