Shri Bhat Memorial Trust felicitates social activists from KP community

Jammu, Oct 24: In a bid to encourage those who have worked for community in exile, Shri Bhat Memorial Trust felicitated various Kashmiri Pandit social activists and scholars for their role and service rendered in uplifting the Kashmiri Pandit community at a function organized by on the 10th Foundation Day of Man Mohan Koul Charitable Trust here on the other day.
In the year 2004 Man Mohini Koul Charitable Medical Trust joined hands with Shri Bhat Memorial Trust to enhance the community development work in exile.
Ashok Koul,organisational general secretary, BJP, was guest of honour on the occasion. While speaking on the occasion he lauded the host organization by saying, "Tremendous work has been done by Shri Bhat Memorial Trust and Man Mohini Koul Charitable Medical Trust to uplift the Kashmiri Pandit community in the hour of desperation and despondency."
He lauded the activists of both trusts for the services rendered by them in the field of socio-economic, educational and cultural empowerment of the religiously cleansed Kashmiri Pandit community.
Earlier, Bihari Lal Kaul a noted educationist and Member of the Trust brifeed the gathering about the finctioning of the trust which has been actively working for imparting quality education to the displaced Kashmiri Pandit students in the Battal Ballian, Udhampur particular and other places in Jammu region in general since 1994. Reeta Koul Thukral, noted social activist representing Man Mohini Koul Chiratable Medical Trust presented a detailed report on the activities of the Trust.
Among those who were facilitated include SSP (Retd) and founder Chirman of Shri Bhat Memorial Medical Trust PN Raina, Devender Handoo, Principal, Mixed Higher Secondary School, Bantalab, Dr Sushil Wattal, a noted social activist associated with Shri Bhagwan Gopinath Ashram.
The whole event was conduicted by S K Kaul and R C Kaul who also apprised the audience about the activities and achievements of the community service of the host trust.
