| Release of DA, review of medi-claim sought | | |
Jammu | May 14 At a meeting of Employees Joint Action Committee was held here under the chairmanship of Anwar Baig, convener Employee Joint Action Committee the participants expressed grave concern over the silent attitude of the state Govt regarding the release of D.A. installment due from January 1; enhancement of retirement age from 58 years to 60 years, revival of LTC. and Mediclaim policy, B-1 status to Jammu and Srinagar cities for which a commitment was made by the Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad during a joint deputation of Employees Joint Action Committee and Non Gazetted Union at Jammu. The meeting further stressed upon the Govt. to issue relevant orders regarding the re-appointment of ousted class-IV Employees of Excise and Commercial Tax Deptt. and Forest Protection Force Guard. The meeting also reviewed the ongoing struggle of JDA Employees who are on strike for the last 10 days. The meeting unanimously decided to adopt agitational path if the Govt. fails to redress the demands of state govt. employees with in 10 days. In Kashmir Division the demonstration will be held under the leadership of Khurshid Alam, President Employees Joint Action Committee, while in Jammu Division the demonstration will be held by Anwar Baig. Muntezir Mohi-ud-Din, B.A. Ganai, G.N. Telbali, from Kashmir Division and Satish Sharma, Girdhari Lal Chanda, Subash Chander, Sushil Sudan, prem Pal Singh, Parshotam Singh Chib, Kartar Chand Dubey, S. Avtar Singh, Prem Singh Bawa, S. Swaran Singh, Ajay Sharma, Swatanter Bakshi, M. Gill, S. Avtar Singh, Dharam Pal Kataria, Kapoor Singh, and Com. Bachan Lal, also expressed their views in the meeting. Meanwhile other organizations like JK medical employees federation original, urban malaria employee union have urged upon the employees to support two day Kaam Chor Hartal called on 15 and 16 May and make hartal on success.
