JAMMU, MAY 15 One Surat Singh today leveled serious allegations against senior Advocate SS Nanda appearing for the Jammu Municipal Corporation and created a sensational scene in the open Court during the course of proceedings. Justice Nirmal Singh of Jammu & Kashmir High Court, Jammu wing, after hearing battery of lawyers led by Mr. BS Salathia President-elect BAR Association Jammu and President BAR Association Jammu appeared in the Court and made a submission that the allegations leveled by respondent Surat Singh against Advocate SS Nanda during the course of proceedings are contemptuous and the same have degraded the judicial institution. It was further stated that the allegations leveled by the respondent are false and frivolous and proceedings may be initiated against Surat Singh in accordance with law. Court after considering the submissions made by the BAR President issued non-bailable warrants against the respondent Surat Singh. While issuing non-bailable warrants for securing presence of the respondent, Justice Nirmal Singh further observed that Court prima-facie is of the view that respondent Surat Singh by leveling the allegations against Mr. SS Nanda counsel for the JMC during the course of proceedings has interfered with the administration of justice and lowered the dignity of the Court. Since Surat Singh has already left the Court, therefore, in the present circumstances, it would be most appropriate, if his presence is secured through non-bailable warrants of arrest. Court ordered that warrants shall be executed through SSP Jammu at once. Following unruly scene in the open court, the Bar suspended the work in protest for the remaining part of the day, as a result, the work in the High Court Wing Jammu and subordinate Courts remained paralyzed
