| Expelled Pakistani diplomat reaches home | | |
Islamabad, Aug 8 Pakistani diplomat Rafique Ahmed who was expelled from India after being declared persona non grata, has arrived here.
Rafique, Counsellor (Political) at Pakistani High Commission in India, was asked to leave the country on Saturday in the wake of Pakistan’s decision to expel an Indian diplomat, Deepak Kaul.
The expelled Pakistani diplomat who arried here yesterday was received by Foreign Ministry officials at the Islamabad Airport.
The Nation newspaper reported that Ahmad refused to talk to journalists present at the airport saying it was against the government’s policy.
Earlier, the Indian diplomat, Kaul, returned to India via the Wagah border.
