| 2 die after being trapped in pit hole | | |
Srinagar, May 15
Two persons died and another was suffocated after they got trapped inside a pit hole when they were cleaning filth and garbage out of the under ground drain in Habak area here on Tuesday.
Among the three labourers rescued from inside the pit hole, two were found dead while another was unconscious.
Eyewitnesses told that the trio entered inside the drain through the main hole but could not get back resulting in death of two due to suffocation.
The victims were identified as Abdul Hamid Akhoon, son of Abdul Gani of Handam Mohalla Habak and Manzoor Ahmad Gunjoo son of Gh. Rasool resident of Tuji Mohalla Habak. The rescued labourer was identified as Ali Mohd Doji, resident of Doji Mohalla Habak .
