Former PDP general secretary and member, J&K S C Advisory Board allegedly held some noted criminals responsible for the yesterday evening attack on him in R S Pura. He also demanded adequate security from Chief Minister in the wake of life threat to him by some noted criminal in the after math of deserting PDP.
Yesterday evening, Mottan was allegedly attacked with some sharp edged weapon in the Main Market, R.S.Pura in which he received injuries on his both legs and left feet. Thereafter his PSO overpowered the attack.
Addressing a hurriedly called press conference, he alleged that he has been receiving threatening calls on his phone for a quite some time. He said that yesterday also after the attack, he received telephone calls warning him of more serious consequences than injuries inflicted on him. The telephone number from which he received threatening calls originated have been communicated to SHO, Police Station, R.S.Pura and Additional SP, HQ Border District, Jammu, he added.
He informed that owner of the phone is notorious person having number of FIRs against him. He is the same person from whose residence a huge consignment of arms and ammunition from across the border was received. Such person should be booked under PSA irrespective of his party affiliation, he further added.
Meanwhile, Police has registered a FIR against the attacker at R.S.Pura Police Station.
Mottan further divulged that since the day he resigned from PDP, he is receiving threats and he had also sent a letter to the Chief Minister in this regard to months ago requesting proper security for him and for his family.
