| Four family members burnt alive | | |

Four members of a family including two minors were burnt alive in their house in mysterious circumstances. According to reports, last night fire broke out in the house of one Balbinder Singh, son of Netar Singh of ward no 1, Poonch due to electric short circuit in which all the four family members present in the house died. They have been identified as Om Kour, wife of Balbinder Singh and their two children namely Sonia and Pintu of six and three years of age respectively.
Some of the locals informed the matter to the police. Soon after, a police team along with fire tenders rushed to the spot. The fire was put under control after some efforts. Later, police took out the victims and shifted them to hospital where doctors declared them as brought dead.
Meanwhile, police has taken the cognizance of the incident and registered a case in this regard. The matter has been subjected to investigations and the bodies were handed over to their relatives for performing the last rites.
