| Unemployed ITI electricians call on state BJP chief | | |

A delegation of All J&K Unemployed ITI electrician Diploma Holders Association, Jammu, called on BJP State President Ashok Khajuria and submitted a memorandum listing demands and seeking party’s support for the same.
Delegation led by association state president Sunil Sharma members stated that a number of posts pertaining to Technician – III are lying vacant in PDD and no scheme is being finalized for the filling of these vacancies and added said that no appointment has been made since 1981 till date and it was only in 1996 during Governor’s Rules that a few candidates were appointed in PDD as Technician – III. They further said that most of them are going to be over-aged and as such to loose all the chances for government jobs in near future members demanded age relaxation to such helpless diploma holders so that they can earn two times meals.
They demanded a policy on the lines of Rehbar pattern for the adjustment of unemployed ITI (electrician).
