Jammu | May 16 A three days state level resource persons training workshop on detection and prevention of adulteration of food concluded here today. The workshop was catalyzed and supported by Rashtriya Vigyan Evam Prodyogiki Sanchar Parishad, Deptt of Science and Technology, Govt. of India and National Council for Urban and Development Society, Jammu. The programme was attended by 70 children of Presentation Convent School, Gandhi Nagar and 50 NGOs and teachers from other districts of the state and were trained a certificate was also awarded to all the trainees at the end of the workshop. Those, who participated in the programme were Dr B M Sharma, Deptt. of Science & Tech. New Delhi, M A Khateeb, Deptt. of Drugs and Food Control Sanjeev Kumar Public Analyst, Dr. Ravinder Thaploo, SMS Deptt. of Agriculture, M Parkash Sharma, A.E.O. officer, Bansi Lal Gupta, Sr. Food Inspector, Dr. S.M. Anand, Scientist RRL, Jammu. The Resource persons including Arun K Khajuria and Zaffarullah Khan trained the participants regarding the subject gold medals were given by the principal of the school, Sr. Phyllis about 16 students of the school were given gold medals for their special contribution to the workshop.
