| Sadhu Samaj appeals people not to politicize religious issue | | |

Shivalaya Mandir Dashnami Juna Akhara Sanyasi Math today flayed installation of an outsider in the chair of the head priest at the Shivalya Temple Panjbhakthar Road popularly known as Rupaiyawalla mandir.
Addressing the press conference Mahant Prem Giri of Juna Akahara alleged that some elements for their vested interests have not only challenged the age old inherited right of the Juna Akhara over this revered seat for the last 150 years but also have fiddled with faith of the hundreds of devotees. He said these vested interest parties first tried to create a wedge in the Sadhu Samaj by politicizing the issue when they failed in their mission and installed Prabhudass as successor of late soul revered Mahant Parsuram Giri Ji who had chaired the holy seat for the last 42 years. He also said that the new incumbent who had been catapulted by the people and some having political affiliations is not only junior but also is incompetent to handle the affairs of the seat as he is presently a student.
In the end he appealed the devotees to visit the temple and offer their prayers instead of interfering in the sanctity of Sadhu Samaj.
Other speakers namely Swami Dayanad of Juna Akhara secretary, Mahant Rishiwan of Ranbir Temple Shalimar Road, and Swami Subhash Ji spoke in the press conference.
