| Truck carrying BEACON cement seized | | Half a truck unloaded en route | |
DODA, MAY16 Believe it or not but it is a hard fact that ever since the BEACON/ GREF took over re-construction of Bhaderwah road, the people of the area have been complaining misuse of government cement. But today the allegation was proved correct when some employees of the BECON /GREF loaded a truck with cement bags at Paranoo, which was unloaded before it reached to the designated designation.According to Police sources against sixty cement bags loaded in the truck at Paranoo, only half of it reached to the destination as 34 bags were reportedly sold en route to the locals SHO Bhaderwah Ajay Singh Jamwal confirmed the recovery of thirty four cement bags from the vehicle bearing number 00E62044 which was going to down load at Bhalla and added that an FIR 79/07 under section 420, 409 RPC has been registered. The police sources said that it has been receiving complaints of illicit sale of government cement in black for the last few months and on a specific complaint the Police made launched a campaign in the area to trace out the culprits involved in sale of government cement in black and consequently seized truck carrying cement for BEACON. Half of the loaded material was sold en route, the checking team found However, the occupants of the truck are large and efforts are being made to apprehend them. When this reporter contacted the BEACON authorities, they refused to comment on it.
