| Chinks in the coalition become visible: PDF takes on PDP | | | Sanjay Khajuria Jammu May 17 While chief minister Ghulam Nabi Azad is trying to keep his flock together, the chinks in the coalition have become visible with People Democratic Front (PDF) launching tirade against PDP coalition ally and buys ire from party cadre for criticizing self rule and demilitarization. The differences within the coalition allies became visible during the All Party Meet with valley based parties apparently and perceptibly joining hands to counter the proposals in the interest of Jammu region. These valley based parties also dug out a tunnel and played spoil sport to the aspirations of the people of Jammu and above all the refugees of the 1947 and from West Pakistan. Both valley based parties claiming Kashmir issue is more important than that of the other less significant issues including related to granting civil rights to the refugees. From the tables and closed room deliberations the wordy wars have come to the open in public with some political parties calling Minister for Health and Education Mangat Ram Sharma as a ‘Jai Chand- the traitor’. While former chief minister and PDP patron Mufti Mohammed Sayeed addressing a public rally at Qazigund reiterated troops cut key to Kashmir resolution on Wednesday. On the other hand Hakim Yasin PDF chairman and Minister for Transport and M Y Tarigami pitched their flags against the PDP during the Budgam rally and launched a scathing attack against PDP for its most cherished slogans self rule and demilitarization. Yassen underlined that masses can’t be befooled by self rule and demilitarization coined only for vested interests by the political parties. Though this is not for the first time when the coalition partners have been on loggers head as earlier JKNPP has alleged both PDP and Congress for lowering down the guard for the issues related to the Jammu region and falling flat to the opponents.
