| Effigy of Mahant of Dera Sacha Sauda burnt | | |

Various Sikh organizations today continued their protest against the alleged sacrilege act and blasphemy committed by Mahant of Dera Sacha Sauda.
The protestors raising slogans against the Dera demanded early arrest of the said Mahant who figured himself as a 10th Guru Gobind Singh Ji. The protestors demanded CBI inquiry in this act of sacrilege and sought measures to stop the violation of maryada (code of conduct of a particular religion).
Local residents including women and children including Sikh students from Mahant Bachiter Singh Engineering College strongly condemned the self-styled Guru and Chief of Dera Sacha Sauda at Bathinda in Punjab for declaring himself as Guru Gobind Singh Ji namely Baba Gurmit Ram Rahim Singh, the entire Jatha traveled from Gadi Garh, Chatha and burnt the effigy of the Baba at Rani Bagh Chowk.
President AISSF (J&K), strongly condemned, opposed and criticized the action of the self-styled Guru and Chief of Dera Sacha Sauda and said that ¬the action of the said person is highly objectionable and cannot be tolerated at any cost by the Sikh Community.
They appealed the Prime Minister to immediately intervene in to the matter. AISSF threatened stir in case no action is taken by the authorities. The protestors also demanded arrest of Baba Gurmit Ram Rahim Singh and said that Centre should immediately order an enquiry through CBI.
