In a major incident, thieves struck in a house at village Tanda Burj and looted valuables worth lakhs of rupees from the house of an ex-serviceman.
According to reports, last night a group of thieves struck in the house of one Avtar Singh, an ex-Serviceman and decamped with 80 tolas of gold and 25 thousand rupees cash from the house by breaking the lockers, when all family members were sleeping on the roof of the house.
In the morning, when family members came down they saw a locker broken and after looking in the matter they informed the police.
A case has been registered in this regard and police is investigating the matter.
