Jammu | May 17 The activists of state government Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) have condemned the brutal police action on the peaceful protest of Govt. employees at Srinagar. Addressing a press conference here today, the leaders of EJAC said that instead of listening to the genuine demand of the employees, the state government has adopted un-democratic step against the employees resulting in injuries to a number of employees. Beside a good number of Govt. employees have been put behind bars at Srinagar. The leaders appealed the Govt. particularly the Chief minister to concede the demands of the employees without further delay, who are facing countless difficulties due to step hike in prices of essential commodities. Leaders appealed the authorities that all the employees detained at Nowgam police station should be set free. The EJAC leaders, who addressed the media included Jaswant Singh, Balwinder Singh, Ravi Singh, P.S. Chib, Balbir Singh, Manga Ram Sharma, Hari Singh, Mehar Lal, Maheshwar Sharma, Om Parkash Sharma, Krishan Singh, Subash Chander, Sanjeev Kumar, Dharminder Singh, Arun Moza, Sham Lal and Amrik Singh.
