Jammu | May 17 In a general body meeting of ADBI-KUNJ, a multilingual literary organization of the state, new executive members for the ensuing term under the supervision of S.M. Tayyab Bharti who acted as an independent observer for the election was held. The meeting was presided over by K.K. Shakir. Sham Talib, the force behind the Adbi-Kunj was elected president, while Nargis Sitara was appointed as vice-president. The other executive members are Talib Kashmiri as general secretary, Jaswant Singh, chief organizer, R K Bharti organizer, Jabbar Bhat, publicity secretary Suresh Rahi, secretary, Rajeev Kumar as treasurer. The other members of the Kunj are Maharaj Krishan, Daya Ram Daye, Singh Surraji. In the meeting it was decided that eminent Urdu writer S.S. Anand Lehar, will continue as the patron of Adbi-Kunj. In the meeting member complimented Anand Lehar for being honoured by Bihar Urdu Academy, Ved Rahi, well known Dogri writer/poet and film maker was complimented on his 74th birthday. Tributes were paid to Amar Shaheed Ramesh Chander, former editor Hind Samachar Group on his 23rd martyrdom day. A literary cum poetic meet was also held, in which Talib Kashmiri presented his latest short story titled “Khota Sikka” which received appreciation from the participants. In the poetic session those who recited their poems and ghazals included S.N. Tayyab Bharti, K.K. Shakir, Raj Kamal (Chief Guest). Nargis Sitara, Maharaj Krishen, R.K. Bharti, Talib Kashmiri, Mukesh Sharma, Daya Ram Daya, Smt. Ayodhaya Rani Gamkhwar, Sham Talib, Singh Surraji, Rajeev Kumar, Yogeshwar Sharma, Sanjeev Kumar and B.S. Bhalla.
