| Solider commits suicide inside Corps HQ | | Deceased was learning Kashmir language | |
Jammu, May 17
An army personal committed suicide by shooting himself with
his official weapon inside Nagrota Corps Headquarter, near here, this morning.
Well informed sources revealed that Sepoy Manbir Singh of 54 Rashtriya Rifles
was on deputation to Human Recourse Department, Nagrota where he was being
imparted Kashmiri language.
The jawan shoot himself with his official AK 47 inside his residential barrack
at around 3 AM, causing his on the spot death, sources added.
However, defence spokesman Lt Col Goswami told News Agency of Kashmir that the
body of the solider was found under mysterious circumstances inside his barrack.
"The police is investigating the matter and in the meanwhile, army authorities
have also ordered court of inquiry", he added.
The spokesman refused to divulge the cause of death and said, "Let the
investigation be completed and every thing would be clear".
