| KC Public School organizes VAT awareness programme | | |

—K.C. Public school today organized an awareness program on Value Added Tax at the school auditorium.
R. K. Koul, Addl. Commissioner, Commercial Taxes department, Jammu delivered a lecture on VAT and its utility to the staff and students of KC public school. Koul told about the history of VAT, while Rakesh Magotra, Commercial Tax officer made them aware of its value and how it can be calculated.
Rakesh, further said that VAT promotes the growth of common market, enhances taxes neutrality, provides efficient resources allocation and also promotes the development of ancillary industry. Jorawar Singh, principal of KC Public School thanked Koul for sparing his time to make students aware of value and importance of VAT.
