| Ply SRTC buses on Doda-Bhaderwah route, commuters demand | | |
DODA, May 18
The inhabitants of Bhaderwah Constituency have expressed their grave concern over non availability of transport on Doda-Bhaderwah route causing great inconvenience to the commuters.
J. D. Dar while talking to EARLY TIMES alleged that after 4 PM no transport is available at the Doda city as a result of which, the computers, especially the government employees, who shuttle daily between district headquarters to Bhaderwah face lot of problems
The commuters alleged that with the introduction of Metadors on local routes, the buses operated by several transport groups have stopped plying on these routes. Non availability of adequate transport services often leads to overloading in the matadors, they maintained
Despite several requests to the concerned authorities for regularizing traffic system in the district nothing has been done so far. The matadors operating on the internal routes ply their vehicles as per their sweet will without caring for the commuters and charge exorbitant rates, the commuters alleged.
The commuters have appealed to the Chief Minister and the Transport Minister to deploy Road Transport Corporation on several routes in the district for the facility of the daily commuters
