Hundreds of contractual lecturers, working on academic arrangement in plus two schools in the district, today organized a protest rally shouting anti government slogans for its failure to grant extension in their services.
The angry lecturers took out a protest march in the town in support of their demands. The lecturers appointed on contractual basis were given extension by the CEO Doda till the end of this month and are demanding that their engagement should be continued till the end of the next session. The protesting lecturers claimed that they helped the government to raise the educational standards in the government institutions and had been instrumental in achieving cent per cent results.
Those who spoke included Mansoor , Hafiz Dar, Maroof Sheikh, Ghulam Abass, Shabir Ahmed Batt, Rakesh Kumar, Anoop Kumar ,Shaid Hussain ,Mukhtiar Ahmed ,Tariq Hussain ,Sunil Kumar ,Ramneek Singh , Atik ,Nazia Rafeqi, Shafqet Hussain and Ranjeet Singh.
