| Two absconding miscreants held, country made pistol recovered | | |

Nowabad Police today arrested two absconding miscreants and recovered a country made pistol from their possession. The arrested persons were the part of a gang which was intercepted by Police at Canal road few days back. Four of their accomplices were arrested during the process while these two had managed to flee.
According to reports, Nowabad Police on specific information carried out a raid and arrested two absconding miscreants namely Jyoti Gupta, son of Tara Chand Gupta of Kote and Amit alias Golu, son of Chander Prakash Gupta of Roop Nagar from a hide out. Police recovered a country made pistol and a motor cycle bearing registration no JK02A-1096 from their possession. The police team was led by SHO Nowabad Kulbir Handa arrested both of them from a hideout.
It is to mention that few days back police had intercepted a gang of six miscreants, who were on their way to attack some body, and arrested four of them while two others managed to flee. After the interrogation of four miscreants, Police received information of both the absconders and this morning carried out a raid and arrested both of them
