Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party president and MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia was given a rousing reception at Udhampur on his being adjudged the Best Performer Legislator award.
Balwant Singh Mankotia was received at Tikri by thousand of enthusiastic party workers raising slogans Balwant Singh Zindabad, Hamara Pratinidhi Kaisa Ho, Balwant Singh Jaida Ho. Workers garlanded him profusely and dancing to the drum beats took him to Udhampur in a grand procession. Mankotia was given huge reception at Mand and Garhi on way to Udhampur where a grand reception was organized at Dabbar Park.
Speaking on the occasion, speaker after speaker eulogized the services of MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia for working selflessly especially for the people of the area people of the state in general.
Mool Raj district president and SukhDev Singh general secretary JKNPP said that people of Udhampur made a right choice by electing Balwant Singh Mankotia as MLA and even the state government has recognized his contributions for the people of the state especially the downtrodden sections of the society.
Balwant Singh was presented a memento by the people on the occasion to facilitate him on his outstanding performance.
Balwant Singh Mankotia thanked the people of Udhampur for their love and assured that he would continue working tirelessly for them. He said that award is for the people of Udhampur and not for him individually. He said that Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers party is a movement for the rights of people, and upliftment of neglected sections of the society.
Balwant Singh asked all the people to work hard for the success of the aims and ideals of the party.
Those who addressed on the occasion were Rafiq Chandel, Sudesh Sharma, Praduman Singh, Gulshan Kesar, Shamim Akhtar, Prahlad Singh, Roop Kour, Ranjit Singh, Anirudh Singh, Yashpal and Sukhdev Singh.
