| “Nange Paon Zindagi’ released | | |
Jammu | May 20 Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages organized a book release function at K.L. Saigal Hall here today at which Prof. Ram Nath Shastri, Padam Shri and renowned Dogri writer was the chief guest while Dr. Rafeeq Masoodi Secretary Cultural Academy presided. On this occasion, ‘Nange Paon Zindagi’, a collection of Hindi poetry written by Anil Singh Charak was released. Prof. Shastri congratulated Anila Singh Charak for her contribution in the field of Hindi poetry and hoped that her second collection of Hindi poetry ‘Nange Paon Zindagi’ will be well received by the readers. He further said the book will also prove a moral booster and encouragement to the budding writers of the region. He also praised the Cultural Academy for organizing such functions which help the local writers to gear up their creative activities. In his presidential address, Dr. Masoodi said that Cultural Academy is committed to promote and encourage the local upcoming and budding writers. He said that the Academy would be celebrating its Golden Jubilee celebrations in October this year, Dr. Jasvir Chawla, a renowned story-writer and poet from Chandigarh and Dr. Adrash a story writer-poet from Udhampur presented the research paper on the book in detail. A musical presentation was also organized on the occasion which included group song’ Pehli Bar Mile The’, duet’ Sawan Ki Barish Mein Rim Zim Barse Nain Hamare and Gazal’Ankh thi Meri Samander Dil Magar Shra Raha and sung by Messers Manju Bala, Reena, Needhi Kaila, Karander Singh, Sham Manyal, Jagdeep Eattan, Aman Singh, Ashish Malik while duet was sung by Karan Dev Singh and Sham Manyal and Ghazal by Sham Sajan. T R Sharma, Additional Secretary, Cultural Academy presented welcome address and Neeru Sharma, Editor Hindi, conducted the proceedings of the program in a befitting manner while Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn presented vote of thanks.
