Udhampur, Nov 25: Independent candidate from Udhampur, Pawan Kumar Gupta conducted a tour of Landar, Karcha, Dhanota & Katti Latyar and launched a scathing attack on Sitting MLA accusing him for failing to showcase the beauty of the scenic places to promote tourism.
Blaming sitting MLA from Udhampur segment, Pawan Kumar Gupta said, "it is irony that being gifted by the nature's beauty the places falling in segment still are lagging far behind and not have their name on the tourist map. Assuring die development and promotion of tourism related sector to imprive socio economic status, he appealed people to vote for sewing machine, his election symbol, if they wanted to overcome this dilemma. At the same time he urged tourism department to look beyond Kashmir and Ladakh and explore virgin natural beauties across the Jammu region. He said that if given a chance, he will showcase the potential that Udhampur has for prosperity. |
